Project Overview

Partnering with the UNDP Accelerator Lab Nepal, Green Road pioneered the development of plastic-mixed bricks, tiles, and pavers using low-value and multi-layered plastics (MLP) that are typically non-recyclable through traditional methods.

Key Achievements

  • Successfully developed plastic-mixed bricks, tiles, and pavers meeting Nepali standards
  • Products now commercially produced by local manufacturers across Nepal
  • Green Road continues to supply low-value plastics as raw material to brick factories
  • Proven alternative for non-recyclable MLP plastics
“We turned waste that had nowhere to go into building blocks for a sustainable future.”
